eBay – Style Slam on Facebook & Bebo

StyleSlam is a Facebook and Bebo application that combines fashion, gaming and competition. Harnessing the social interaction that sits at the heart of an online network, StyleSlam brings to life the fun of trading and securing a bargain on eBay. StyleSlam engages users by embedding into their online profiles and tying into their social interactions and daytime-playtime experience.

The application allows players to create an avatar that looks just like them, then buy, sell, wear and gift items from the marketplace, and rate the outfits of their friends. StyleSlam also features celebrity guest style advisors; most recently this involved a large scale promotion with pop sensation Girls Aloud. The band were featured in-game with players being able to buy and wear their outfits and fan t-shirts, and receive daily style tips. Players could click though to iTunes to buy the band's latest single.

Elementalise is a visiontype (prototype for all you Brits) of a more personalised way of experiencing eBay.

Designed in a modular fashion, with the different functions of eBay transformed into separate elements, Elementalise lets you piece together your very own eBay buying & selling experience.

Elementalise also allows you to interact with 3rd party content via the eBay interface. Users can integrate the best that the web has to offer into their day-to-day online experience.

vzaar, a tool for both mobile and web, takes eBay user engagement up a level with slick and easy to use video listings.

Harmonypark came on board and took vzaar from nascent idea through to a fully-functional and successful '2.0' business.

eBay – Innovate

We created the eBay Innovate hub around the idea of 'demand driven development'. The Innovate hub fosters a direct dialogue between eBay users and the development community, driving growth of the eBay experience through the creation of user-requested tools, gadgets, apps and plugins to help people buy and sell using eBay.

Users can seed ideas onto the development radar, where the community can vote on the seed idea's value, bringing it to the attention of developers who are hungry for new projects that have user support before they are even created. Take a look for yourself.

Polydor Records – The Hives promo tool

Info:

We've created several promo tools for Polydor, the latest being a Flash-based desktop application for Scando clique The Hives (they sound kind of like The Domino State, but not quite as good).

This application sits on a users desktop and ties into the OS, counting down till the album release date, at which point it explodes and reveals a link to the new release on iTunes.

eBay - Counterfeits

Info:

We were approached by eBay to help create a new on-site destination for users worried about counterfeit products.

We put together a super simple solution that allowed users to click through from the eBay homepage and find out more about what eBay and other industry players were doing to help stop the proliferation of Fake goods being sold within the community.

It is important to note that we had NOTHING to do with the Knock-off Nigel creative work that is linked to on the hub ;]
